Built to Harvest. Engineered to Last.
The AHR-01-P1 (Apple Harvesting Robot – Prototype 1) is Rijclant B.V.'s flagship agricultural robot, purpose-engineered for autonomous apple harvesting in commercial orchard environments. Developed over multiple years of research and field testing, the AHR-01-P1 represents a significant step forward in applying robotics to precision fruit cultivation.
At its core, the robot uses a dual-camera computer vision system combined with a solid-state LiDAR unit to map its environment in real time, identify ripe apples using colour and morphology analysis, and plan optimal picking paths. The proprietary gripper mechanism applies just the right pressure to detach fruit without bruising — a critical requirement for premium produce.
The AHR-01-P1 operates for up to 8 hours on a single charge and connects to the Rijclant customer portal via WiFi or 4G LTE, streaming live telemetry including position, battery status, harvest counts, and fault alerts. Fleet operators can monitor multiple units simultaneously through the portal's fleet management dashboard.
As a prototype, the AHR-01-P1 is currently available to selected partner farms for evaluation and co-development. CE certification is in progress. Rijclant welcomes enquiries from fruit growers, agricultural distributors, and technology partners interested in shaping the next generation of this platform.
